ARRIVE
Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes before the start time. This gives you, as a parent, a great opportunity to practice field events with your runner before we begin. Arriving on time is important—we’ll be kicking things off with a big group warm-up, and we don’t want anyone to miss out.

WALK UP
Please use the entrance and exit at the far right, next to the scoreboard. All other gates will remain locked.

THE START
Runners should gather at the sound of a series of whistles for warm-ups—parents do not need to attend this portion. Once warm-ups are complete, both parents and runners should head to the starting area for the Welcome & Expectations speech.

HELP

Coach • Assistant Coach • Team Parents

We could really use your help! When you hear your child’s age group called, please step forward if you’d like to lend a hand. We’re splitting the runners into groups first by gender and then by grades. With 185 runners participating, it’s important to have smaller groups. If you look below you will see some large groups. This will mean longer wait time and less 1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons; unless we can break them into 2 groups.

Coach
- Leads a group from one event to the next and writes down measurements.
- Clipboard with Map of Events, Roster, Events, Ribbons, Pen & Highlighter
Assistant Coach
- Helps the coach & calls out measurements. He/She goes to the finish line to gather runners for the next race.
Team Parent
- Helps get runners sitting down and into lanes
Helpers
- Holds end-line tape (Must be Middle School age or older)
- Pass Out Ribbons (Must be Middle School age or older)

EVENTS
Each Runner Participates in 5 Events
Please take a moment to review the Events Page to see which activities your child will be participating in. Important Notice: Each child will have two attempts during the field events, with their best distance recorded. Runners will receive ribbons following each event.

MEETS
Each meet will last about 60–75 minutes
Runners are split by gender, then by grade. Some grades will be grouped together and then split up into heats (Faster & Slower).

DREADHEAD TRACK TOP
If you have not pick up your Dreadhead Track Top. They will be placed on a table as you walk up with your child’s information labeled on a plastic bag. If you signed up after the deadline date you will not receive one; we suggest to wear your school’s P.E. Shirt.

What to Wear & Bring

Bring your own black or dark shorts; no pockets are preferred.
Any type of sneakers will work. You do not need to wear spikes.
Water Bottle

Tents & Chairs
The school has stated no tents are chair are to be set up on the infield. You can sit up in the stands on either side.

End of the Meet
When your runner is finished with their last event they may leave. Please make a strong effort to not walk on the track while races are still going on.

WAIVER
Click • Print • Bring • Place in Bin
We will have extra waivers printed at the 1st & 2nd meet. They will be placed on clipboards on table as you enter the track. Please place the completed Waiver in a Bin labeled "Waivers"
