1974
Love of Sports Was Born
In 1974, the future founder of Dreadhead, Kenny Bonnett, Jr., was born—marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for sports, competition, and community.

1992 - 1996
Soccer Coach & Trainer
From 1992 to 2008, our founder coached at top soccer camps, clubs and school across the country, including Rollins College, Ohio Wesleyan, Eckerd College, Wake Forest, Santa Barbara College, and UNC Charlotte, Maitland Soccer Club, Deltona Soccer Club, Faith Christian Academy and many more—shaping young athletes and building a foundation in youth sports leadership.

1993
First Dreadhead Shirt Design
In 1993, the first Dreadhead shirt design was created—marking the early roots of a movement that blended sports, culture, and identity.

1994
Dreadhead Logo Created
In 1994, the first official Dreadhead logo was created, capturing the spirit, pride, and bold identity behind the growing movement.

1996
Rollins College Soccer Graduate
In 1996, Kenny graduated from Rollins College as a proud member of the soccer program, cementing his dedication to athletics, leadership, and youth development.

Dreadhead is Incorporated
In 1997, Dreadhead was officially incorporated, turning a personal passion into a mission-driven brand focused on empowering the next generation through sports.

1999 - 2006
Multiple Dreadhead Soccer Camps throughout Central Florida.
From 1999 to 2006, Dreadhead hosted multiple soccer camps across Central Florida & Lake Placid NY, bringing high-energy training and mentorship to hundreds of young athletes. Kenny also earned his Youth National Soccer Diploma. The locations included: YMCA Central Florida, RDV Sportsplex, The National Training Center, Trinity Prep, Orangewood Christian School, Page Private School, West Orange High School, Sweetwater Academy, St Mary Magdalen, Lake Mary Prep, Lake Sylvan Park, Central Winds Park, Dewey O' Booster Complex, Apopka Northwest Soccer Complex, Discovery Middle School, Hickory Point Park, Longwood Indoor Sports Complex

2002
Major Sponsorship with Dairy Farmers
In 2002, Dreadhead secured a major sponsorship with Dairy Farmers and the iconic "Got Milk?"campaign, expanding its reach and impact in youth sports.
Other sponsors came calling including: Pepsi, Sports Authority, Ci Ci Pizza, Powerade, All Fired Up, Mel Himes & Associates Insurance, Phil Carlin and Associations, Trainer's Edge, Goodings & Trinity Prep.

2004
Melissa & Kenny Bonnett Married
In 2004, Kenny and Melissa Bonnett tied the knot, marking the beginning of a partnership rooted in love, family, and shared purpose.

2007
Pine Ridge High School Teacher
In 2007, Kenny began teaching Sports Marketing and Computer classes at Pine Ridge High School, combining education and athletics to inspire the next generation.

2008
Myah Bonnett Born
In 2008, Kenny and Melissa welcomed their daughter Myah Bonnett into the world, adding a new chapter of joy, inspiration, and family to the Dreadhead journey.

2009
Dreadhead Sports Launched
In 2009, Dreadhead Sports was officially launched, expanding the vision beyond camps to a full youth sports program rooted in passion, purpose, and community.

2010
Dreadhead Track & Field for Pre K - 5th Grade Launched
In 2010, Dreadhead Track & Field launched its Pre-K to 5th grade program, introducing young athletes to the fundamentals of speed, movement, and confidence through fun and engaging training.

2011
Kurtis Bonnett Born
In 2011, the Bonnett family grew with the birth of Kurtis Bonnett, bringing even more heart and energy to the Dreadhead legacy.

2011
Dreadhead Track & Field First Facility
In 2011, Trinity Preparatory School became the first official facility for Dreadhead Track & Field, providing a dedicated space to train, grow, and build the foundation of the program.

2011 - 2015
Teacher at Deltona High School & Heritage Middle School
From 2011 to 2015, Kenny taught Sociology, Economics, World History, and American Government at Deltona High School, while also teaching U.S. History at Heritage Middle School—continuing his commitment to educating and inspiring youth both in the classroom and beyond.

2021
Added Volusia County Location for Track & Field
In 2021, Dreadhead Track & Field expanded into Volusia County to serve more young athletes across the region.

2020
The Geneva School Becomes the Central Florida Location for Track & Field
In 2020, The Geneva School helped to provide a facility where children can grow and prosper and help contribute to the athletic community.

2025
Current Schools Participating with Dreadhead Track & Field
In 2025, Dreadhead Track & Field proudly partnered with 29 schools, bringing its track and field program to a wide network of young athletes across the region.
