Information:
Dreadhead’s Tennis Program is focused on providing beginner and intermediate tennis instruction for elementary age children. We provide professional tennis instructors who have extensive experience in: playing, tournaments, coaching and working with young children. We will provide a fun & friendly atmosphere where your child will be motivated to learn week after week. Dreadhead Sports will provide scheduled instructional teaching, a tennis t-shirt and a participation trophy.

We will teach in a format to help your child learn the game of tennis. Now any child four years old and up can start playing tennis almost immediately-even if he or she has never picked up a racquet before. Our Professional Instructor: Ross is our tennis instructor who will emphasize sound fundamentals from proper footwork, agility training, grips to stroke production and movement. He will also be instructing on other fundamentals of tennis which includes: learning the proper names for all of the lines on the court, movement to get ready to hit the ball, ready position stance to be prepared to hit a ball coming from either side, and tennis scoring.

Coach Ross' philosophies are: #1 - if your child is not sweating and breathing hard by the time their hour is finished, I have not done my job properly. #2 - I want them to learn about tennis and to become better players without knowing that they are learning. I mix in games and fun activities with the drills to keep them interested and enjoying what I'm teaching."

What to Bring: Your child will need their own tennis racquet; make sure it is a youth racquet that is for their size. Don’t forget appropriate training clothes, sneakers and water bottle.
